Gearing, Enchant & Sakura Items

Equipping a slot is easy; making gear strong is the real game in modern L2. This guide covers the gear ladder, the four power layers (enchant / attribute / augment / jewels), the new Sakura Isle items, and — critically — which of them are actually live on this server.

1. The gear ladder (grades)

Equipment is gated by grade, and each grade has a level requirement. Equip the highest grade your level allows, and match your soulshot grade to your weapon grade.

No-Grade → D → C → B → A → S (S80 / S84) → R (R95 / R99) → top-tier (L-grade / elite)
  • No-Grade → A: the classic climb; cheap, fast in modern L2.
  • S / S80 / S84: the old "high five" endgame; now a stepping stone.
  • R / R95 / R99: the modern backbone from ~95 onward.
  • Top-tier: L-grade ("elite") gear, Dragon Weapons, and (where enabled) Cursed Swords — the endgame chase for a Lv. 105–130 character.
A higher-grade weapon you can't yet equip does nothing — always check the level requirement before spending on it.

2. Shots — the multiplier you must never skip

  • Soulshots (physical) and Spiritshots / Blessed Spiritshots (magic) multiply your per-hit damage. Auto-enable them the moment you can afford them. Forgetting shots is the #1 new-player DPS loss.
  • Match shot grade to weapon grade. Wrong-grade shots are wasted.
  • Sakura Isle bonus (live here): Dragon, Cursed, and elite (L-grade) weapons get a bonus to shot damage on top of their attack power. If you run one of those weapons, the shot bonus is already active.

3. The four power layers

Beyond grade, four systems make gear strong.

3a. Enchant

Push +levels on weapons/armor for more power. Normal scrolls can break the item on failure; Blessed scrolls are safer. Use Blessed on gear you care about.

3b. Attribute (elements)

Add Fire / Water / Wind / Earth / Holy / Dark to weapon (raises attack vs. that defense) and armor (defends against an element). Weapon attribute is one of the biggest mid/late damage multipliers — prioritize it.

3c. Augment

Augment a weapon to graft on an extra active or passive skill (a proc, a self-buff, a stat). Re-roll for a good one on gear you'll keep.

3d. Jewels, brooch & accessories

Epic jewels (boss jewels) in your brooch slots are a major stat/utility source; build them as you reach endgame. Agathions add passive effects via the bracelet / seed-bracelet chain.

5. Gearing priority — a practical order

For a character climbing to and through endgame on this server:

  1. Shots first, always. Auto-enable, matched to weapon grade. (Dragon/Cursed/L-grade get the shot bonus here — it's live.)
  2. Stay on-grade. Weapon + armor within one grade of your level; don't hoard a weapon you can't equip.
  3. Weapon attribute + enchant before chasing exotic items — biggest reliable multipliers.
  4. Epic jewels / brooch as you hit endgame.
  5. Chase only what's IN. Don't grind for the ❌ items above (Enhanced Artifacts, Orb +5 path, Gran Kain's scroll). You can use the present items: Superior Seed Bracelet, the elemental Orbs, Trinity L-grade, and the Lv.127/130 world bosses with their drops — just without the extra Sakura enchant/strengthening layers.
